Doraemon never gets tired of watching

The fundamental of progress and growth

“Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon " is a Japanese adventure animated film directed by Shinnosuke Yakuwa, with the voices of Wasabi Mizuta, Megumi Oohara, and Junko Minagawa. The plot is about an official probe that finds a white figure on the moon. One day, a transfer student Ryua Tsukino followed Nobita and others to explore the moon by chance, but accidentally found the secret truth hidden in the back of the moon.

The reason why we like Doraemon

Although Doraemon is arguably my favorite cartoon, and as a child, I was always in front of the TV every day, I am ashamed to say that I have never been to the theater to watch the theatrical version of Doraemon, and even the last one I rented on DVD at home was "Doraemon: Nobita no Wan Nyan Jikuden" in 2004. However, this time after watching "Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon E", I just feel my love for Doraemon is deeper than I thought, for no other reason than Doraemon's imagination of the unknown and the kindness, innocence, and justice that belong exclusively to children.

Doraemon never gets tired of watching

This "Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon " still follows the story of many works in the past, so that Nobita came to a new world to help the residents to solve difficult problems. Whether it is "Nobita and the Kingdom of Clouds" after the construction of the Kingdom of Clouds found in the sky, "Nobita and the Animal Planet" from the pink mist into the animal planet, "Nobita and the Winged Brave" accidentally broke into the world of birds called Birdtopia are following this established pattern.

However, this is the most brilliant thing about Doraemon, even if we have already figured out the story development of these works, every time a new theme is created, people still can't get tired of watching Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon E, because it coincides with the 50th anniversary of mankind's landing on the moon and the first probe landing on the backside of the moon in 2019, shifts the stage of the story to the backside of the moon and space, and once again brings the spirit of Doraemon's works to life through the setting of the Kaguya Star superpowers.

Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon :

The fundamental of progress and growth

The central idea of "Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon E" is ultimately about people's "imagination", whether it is the estimation of the back of the moon, the ancient legend of the Kaguya people, or even the most important prop of the movie, "the badge of the Club of Difference". Doraemon in explaining the use of props for Nobita, using the former people's belief that the Earth is the center of the universe "sky movement theory", Copernicus in the 16th century with the "theory of celestial movement" to overturn the "earth movement theory" to give examples, which shows the accumulation of human knowledge. Does it not show that the accumulation of human knowledge always comes from the curiosity of the unknown, which leads to subsequent proofs and challenges?

Just as scientific research methods must first formulate a "hypothesis" from "observation", and then "test" it through "experiment" and "analysis". "The "Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon E" tells the audience through hypotheses, theories, and the events that kept the Kaguya people in the dark for a thousand years that "Questioning things and resolving doubts is the driving force of progress." If people do not question the surface phenomenon, it also means that they will gradually lose the possibility to make technology more advanced and society more beautiful.

Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon :

The core of the series

I love the connotations of Doraemon's work. From the story itself, Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon E retains the same "love, courage, and peace" of the Doraemon theatrical version. Every time you enter the theatrical version, the original animation of lazy, timid, and fearful Nobita will be able to show his love of dreaming, curious about everything gentle and kind nature, Shizuka is not waiting for others to rescue the weak women, fat tiger Xiaofu is no longer the usual only bullying the weak villains, each character in contact with new things and new friends, are instantly become enthusiastic and brave, righteous heroes.

This is why Nobita was ridiculed at school for speaking about the Tamagotchi so that he could use Doraemon's props to build a moon rabbit kingdom on the moon; when the team was attacked by the Kaguya people, Rua and other super-powered people were arrested, they were able to stand up for their friends and the original beautiful Kaguya star, if imagination is the driving force behind the world's progress, then love courage, and peace is the fundamentals of the world's continued existence.

The issue behind the story

Interestingly, "Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon E" also has the ingenuity of film and television works or cultural tribute, not to mention the series itself, whether it is "Alita: Battle Angel" of Sarem, "Star Wars" of the Death Star, or the image design of the film's villain, General Diablo warrior, somehow also cleverly to the impression of the object in people's minds to the overall tension of the story, through anti-utopia, militarism to represent the Kaguya Star. Militarism to represent the people of the planet Phyrexia by the government's deception and oppressive rule.

In addition, the film also involves the hidden crisis of artificial intelligence, the use of two artificial intelligence Doraemon and Diablo, one kind and friendly, one brings destruction to contrast with each other, not only echoes the film's unknown back side of the moon, and deepen Doraemon often hidden in the work of peace and anti-war ideas, are the intention of this "Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon E"!

Overall conclusion

Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon E is a well-made, almost impeccable work. I really like the latter part of the movie where Doraemon wants to remodel the spaceship and hopes that Nobita and his group will go home first to prepare for the bridge, as if they were ready to leave home and never return, silently saying goodbye to their families and looking at the moon hanging high in the sky, even though we all know they will be safe, but because of this, this children-oriented movie will choose to arrange such a moving moment in the film to It's even more precious.

It is not for nothing that we love Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon E is more than just a simple adventure, whether it is the display of friendship, determination to try challenges or even deeper reflection on the power of politics and technology, it pushes the movie to a higher level that cannot be carried away by just watching it. For me, the most fundamental value of Doraemon's existence is to inspire kindness and curiosity in our hearts.
